Undercut Transmission; Yamaha FJ1100 & 1200

The FJ is notorious for "jumping" out of second gear, here is the remedy.

These transmission outputs shafts have been disassembled, clean & inspected prior to having the drive cogs and accepting gears undercut to eliminate the popping out of gear issue.

Yamaha did not undercut the cogs for first, second or third gear and that allowed the the cogs to slip out, bending & distorting the shift fork permanently. This amplified the problem and rounds off the cog & gear.

These shafts have the undercutting performed to 1st, 2nd & 3rd gears, not just second gear like most people only have serviced.

There is a $300 core charge fee with the purchase of this item. The core will be completely refunded with the return of a complete and serviceable shaft. If the wear on the cogs require welding before they can be undercut, then a partial core refund will be completed.

If the shaft is not serviceable due to; broken cogs, stripped/damaged gears, output shaft bearing failure, stripped/bent/twisted splines, rust or any other non serviceable damage, the core fee will not be returned.
